SUCCESS! Grassroots protest yesterday to #EndJewHatred

Dear friends,

The #EndJewHatred protest at The Grove yesterday was an enormous success. There was a huge turnout to show USC and its Chair of the Board of Trustees, Rick Caruso, that targeting Jews on campus will not be tolerated. In spite of the heat wave, the last-minute notice, and the Labor Day holiday, more than 100 people showed up to stand up against Jew hatred on campus!

We give heartfelt thanks to everyone who mobilized and showed up yesterday to express their support, hold signs, hand out flyers, listen to speakers, chant, and march to show the world how passionate we are about our movement.

A special thanks to #EndJewHatred's other official partners for the protest:

Beverly Hills Jewish Community Synagogue
Club Z
Herut North America
Institute for Black Solidarity with Israel
Yad Yamin
Liberate Art
Almost Jewish
Black and Jewish Unity

We sent a powerful message yesterday and put Jew haters on notice that there will be consequences.

In fact, we have started a dialogue with Rick Caruso...but we are not done.

Words and protests alone are not enough. Without action, Jew hatred will not be eliminated. That's why we are working to ensure that systemic Jew hatred is acknowledged and tackled.

We demand that Rick Caruso and the administration at USC:

  1. Recognize there is a problem of Jew hatred on campus;

  2. Adopt the IHRA definition of anti-Semitism at USC;

  3. Launch a disciplinary inquiry into the students who harassed Jewish students; and

  4. Bring in appropriate outside experts to train students and faculty in anti-discrimination legislation.

We ask Rick Caruso, as Chairman of USC's Board, to ensure that these measures are implemented.

This is just the beginning. We are already planning our next protest. If you care about ending Jew hatred, here are four ways to join the movement:

  1. Like and follow #EndJewHatred on FacebookTwitter, and Instagram.

  2. Use the hashtag #EndJewHatred in your social media.

  3. Sign up for the mailing list to get notified about our next protest.

  4. Start a chapter of #EndJewHatred in your community. Contact us to learn more!

Yesterday proved that the Jewish community is capable of grassroots organizing and mobilization. Keep the momentum going and help us #EndJewHatred on college campuses and beyond!

With deepest appreciation for your support,
