TOMORROW at 3 PM – PROTEST to End Jew Hatred at the University of Southern California
Dear friends,
We have received a tremendous outpouring of support for the #EndJewHatredprotest against Jew hatred at USC. Individuals and organizations throughout California are lining up to get involved. The response has been overwhelming and we are delighted that so many people understand the importance of standing up and fighting for justice.
Now is the final stretch to make sure there is a big turnout tomorrow.
Tell your friends. Like the Facebook page, share it with everyone you know. Even if you can’t make it yourself, make sure everyone knows about it.
We know that if Jew hatred is not challenged it will only grow. There can be no dialogue or reasoning with people who hate Jews. The only thing they will respect is a proud and strong community alongside our allies drawing a line in the sand. The Lawfare Project is proud to be involved with the #EndJewHatred protest. As I wrote for Newsweek,
"Now is the time to seize the opportunity and launch a movement that ensures Jewish liberation and justice through peaceful direct action. We must impose social, legal and financial consequences for Jew-haters. The Jewish community must no longer tolerate antiquated stereotypes and casual exclusion. It must resist entanglement in Middle Eastern politics and mobilize against the colonization of the campus space. Jew-hatred can no longer be acceptable in our society. The time for a Jewish civil rights movement is now."
We hope to see as many of you as possible tomorrow, Monday, September 7th. We are meeting from 3–5 PM on the corner of S Fairfax Avenue and W 3rd Street in Los Angeles (by The Grove).
Remember to protest peacefully and respect social distancing. Signs and flyers will be available at the event, but you can also print your own from our resources page. We will be there to stand behind every Jew suffering from vicious hatred on an American college campus. And we will be there to drive Jew hatred out of USC.
Show up for yourselves, show up for the Jewish community, and show up to #EndJewHatred on campus!
Thank you for your kind support, and see you on Monday.
Sincerely,
Brooke Goldstein
