Empowering the Jewish cause on social media

Dear friends,

On behalf of The Lawfare Project, I'd like to thank everyone who joined the 48-hour "ban" of Twitter and Instagram.

Thousands of people from all over the world participated, and I couldn't be prouder of the strong statement we sent against Jew-hatred and the social media platforms that tolerate it.

From Wiley to Ice Cube, countless celebrities have spread dangerous, anti-Semitic rhetoric but, time and time again, have received free passes for their discriminatory comments. However, through our "ban," we've reclaimed the narrative and made a statement loud and clear: Twitter and Instagram cannot be safe spaces for Jew-hate.

We are strong advocates for free speech and spirited debate. We are simply asking these private companies to enforce their policies consistently and apply them equally to everyone, regardless of race or religion. Anti-Jewish racism cannot be treated differently than any other expression of hate.

With this momentum, I'm asking you to do one more thing — urge your friends to push back against instances of Jew-hatred. Now is the time for our community to stand up and demand consequences for unequal treatment. Let's make a difference.

Thank you for being a supporter of The Lawfare Project. With your continued help, we will always be there to stand up for Jews around the world.

Sincerely,

Brooke Goldstein
