BREAKING: The Lawfare Project files new complaint in UK against Kuwait Airways for continued discrimination

Dear Friends,

Yesterday, The Lawfare Project filed a new complaint in the United Kingdom against Kuwait Airways (KAC) on behalf of Orna Schneider, an Israeli woman who was barred from purchasing a ticket from London to Bangkok on a KAC flight after producing an Israeli passport.

This is not the first time KAC has pursued this policy of discrimination against Israeli passport holders. Since 2017, The Lawfare Project has been working to hold KAC accountable for violating U.S. and foreign anti-discrimination laws. Following The Lawfare Project's actions, KAC was forced to cancel all inter-European flights and its popular and lucrative JFK-London flight route, most likely resulting in millions of dollars of pecuniary loss.

At this point, it is clear that Kuwait Airways' hatred towards Israelis supersedes its desire to stay in business. If it would simply end its illegal boycott of Israeli passengers, KAC would be free to fly its planes wherever it wants. As long as the airline enforces this discriminatory policy, in clear violation of national and foreign laws, The Lawfare Project will be there to fight back in every single jurisdiction where violations occur. Anti-Jewish discrimination will not be tolerated.

Robert Festenstein, Principal at RHF Solicitors and legal counsel on the case, said:

"This is about an institutional policy of discrimination against a protected group under the provisions of the Equality Act 2010. If a carrier refused to carry any other minority group in the UK they would be closed down without hesitation. It is wholly unacceptable that the prejudices and discriminatory practices from a foreign country should be imported into the UK. All people living and working in the UK should be able to purchase all services being made available to the general population and for Heathrow Airport to allow this to happen in their terminal is something which should be the subject of an immediate investigation."

Of course, none of this would be possible without supporters like you who enable The Lawfare Project to combat anti-Semitic discrimination wherever it manifests. Thank you for your commitment to this vital cause.

Sincerely,
Brooke Goldstein
