Victory! Starting today, products from Judea and Samaria sold in U.S. to be labeled "Made in Israel"
Dear friends,
Starting today, Israeli-made goods from Judea and Samaria sold in the United States will be properly labeled as "Made in Israel," in accordance with the historic declaration last month by Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
This represents a significant vindication of the rights of Jewish-owned businesses in Judea and Samaria, and a major step towards ensuring that they will no longer be discriminated against. This is also a tremendous victory for the entire Jewish community and for all people who stand against hate.
As you know, The Lawfare Project has been deeply involved in the fight against discriminatory labeling practices. We supported legal action on behalf of Psâgot Winery in multiple jurisdictions since 2017 as it fought for the right to have its products labeled as they are—products of Israel. For years, activists in Europe and Canada have been applying anti-Semitic labels to Psâgot Winery's products. We are grateful that, with the implementation of these new regulations by the U.S. government, the tide is starting to turn against Jew hatred in consumer product labeling.
Thank you, as always, for your support. Victories like this are only possible because of your commitment to fighting for Jewish rights worldwide.
Sincerely,
Brooke Goldstein
