About The Lawfare Project:

The Lawfare Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides pro bono legal services to protect the civil and human rights of the Jewish people worldwide.

Job Overview:

The Administrative Coordinator is being hired to support the operation of The Lawfare Project and its activities, and ensure that our team runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis.

It is of paramount importance that applicants for this position be highly organized and have outstanding writing skills. Experience in Jewish community advocacy or civil rights advocacy preferred.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the organization and provide general administrative support

  • Coordinate all aspects of appointments, meetings, and conference calls across multiple time zones

  • Draft, edit, and/or proofread, and send correspondence, mailers, reports, and other documents

  • Draft, edit, and/or proofread donor proposals and reports, including maintaining summaries of ongoing work

  • Assisting with accounting and administrative tasks

  • Communicate with vendors, print and/or order and mail, or coordinate delivery of, items such as t-shirts, posters, banners, lawn signs, stickers, postcards, swag, books, and other materials

  • Attend virtual meetings and take notes

  • Maintain and update databases of documents, actions, projects, partners, chapters, activists, and contacts

  • Maintain online calendar of important deadlines

  • Assist with donor relations, including maintaining and updating statistics and data pertaining to the organization and its activities

  • Respond to voicemails and email inquiries

  • Assist with keeping website up-to-date

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of relevant professional experience

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for both formal and informal communications (with impeccable grammar)

  • Professional demeanor and advanced interpersonal skills

  • Detail-oriented with highly organized work habits

  • Creative and resourceful problem-solving skills

  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills

  • Ability to synthesize complex issues and ideas

  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and also as a member of a team

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workplace

  • Experienced in, or able to quickly gain command of, essential functions of the Squarespace and Mailchimp platforms (no coding required)

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range of $70,000-$90,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
